Job Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Primary Environmental Science (EVS) Teacher to join our CAIE School in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. As an EVS Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and guiding students on various environmental topics and concepts. This is a full-time position for candidates with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science/Science/Social Science or related field.
  • Valid teaching certification and experience with the CAIE curriculum.
  • Proven experience as a Primary EVS Teacher or similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental science concepts and theories.
  • Strong passion for environmental conservation and sustainability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Proficient in using technology and multimedia tools for instructional purposes.
  • Organizational and time management skills to effectively plan and deliver lessons.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to work as part of a team.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons on environmental science topics for primary level students.
  • Utilize various teaching methodologies and resources to enhance the learning experience.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student creativity and critical thinking.
  • Develop and implement strategies to assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Promote environmental awareness and sustainability practices among students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and activities.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns.
  • Stay updated with advancements in environmental science education and incorporate them into teaching practices.
