Job Description: Manager (Parent Relations) (School Education) - Mylapore Location
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Parent Relationship Manager to join our educational institution located in Mylapore. As a Parent Relationship Manager, you will play a crucial role in fostering positive and effective communication between the school, its educators, and the parents/guardians of our students. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance admissions, parental engagement, satisfaction, and involvement in the academic journey of their children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a bridge of communication between parents and the school administration, facilitating the exchange of information, concerns, and feedback.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents, ensuring open lines of communication and addressing any queries, concerns, or suggestions promptly and professionally.
- Organize and coordinate regular parent-teacher meetings, workshops, and events to promote a collaborative and supportive educational environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to provide parents with insights into the academic progress, behaviour, and development of their children.
- Collect and analyze feedback from parents to identify areas of improvement and propose strategies for enhancing the overall educational experience.
- Monitor and manage online platforms, newsletters, and other communication channels to keep parents informed about school activities, policies, and important announcements.
- Work closely with the admissions team to assist prospective parents in understanding the school's offerings, curriculum, and admission processes.
- Handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion, ensuring that all interactions with parents are respectful and professional.
- Assist in organizing school events, functions, and celebrations, inviting parental participation and support.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the positive image and reputation of the school within the community.
- Keep up-to-date records of parent interactions, feedback, and communications for future reference and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in education, communication, business, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey information effectively and empathetically.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up.
- Previous experience in customer service, relationship management, or a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with educational systems and terminology, especially in the K-12 context.
- Proficiency in using digital communication tools, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- A positive attitude, patience, and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
- Knowledge of Mylapore's local community and culture is an advantage.
Salary Range:
The salary for this position ranges from INR 30,000 to INR 40,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
