Psychological Counsellor (Job Vacancy)

Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Psychological Counsellor at Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences in Coimbatore. The Psychological Counsellor will be responsible for providing counselling services to students, conducting assessments, and developing and implementing therapeutic programs. They will collaborate with other professionals and staff members to promote student well-being and mental health.

Qualifications • Master's degree in Psychology • Certification in counselling or psychotherapy • Experience in providing counselling services to individuals • Knowledge of various counselling techniques and modalities • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Empathy and the ability to build rapport with students • Understanding of student development and mental health issues • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines • Experience working in a university or educational setting is a plus • Fluency in English and proficiency in local languages
