Job Description
Roles And Responsibilities
• Strategies and active guidance
• Checking the operational convenience and commercial aspects (costs of transport) and Verification.
• Negotiating with Transport contractors and finalization of agreements/contracts, keeping in view RTO & Govt guidelines.
• Checking, verifying and guiding AO/Transport supervisor (TS); Checking of original documents with AO & T.S. at respective schools.
• Assisting A.O. & T.S. in finalization.
• Verifying Capacity Utilization and arranging training modules for all Transport staff in accordance with RTO norms.
• To ascertain ways and means by which we can reduce dependence on hired Buses thereby reducing costs of operation.
• In case use of hired Bus is inevitable, then hired buses to be put into optimum use as compared to own buses, so as to improve productivity.
• To conduct a periodical audit of all operational check-points, whenever they visit allocated school locations.
• Discuss shortcomings with AO/TS and also Transport contractors, if any.
• Submit report to Director (Transport)/Trustee.
• Qualified assistance and guidance to TS/AO at all times.
• Ensure to make optimum use of holidays and off days for maintenance & repairs.
• To maintain liaison/rapport with Traffic Police, local RTO etc. and deal with administrative matters related to traffic issues and congestion.
• Random checking and review of safety arrangements during parking.
• Suggesting ways and measures to ensure and enhance safety of school buses including preparation of dispersal plan for students along with Principals/Heads.
• Periodical verification of compliance.
• Periodical checking of log books and Fuel statement / summary and educating AO/TS on its importance. Random check with Oil Depots.
• Randomly check all such bills and countersign as and when on visit to allotted school locations. Educate and guide AO/TS in case of noticed discrepancies.
• Verification and reporting of the status of Bus Fees to the Director (Transport)/Trustee and also position of Transport Module Software data.
• Discussion with AO/TS to draw-out ways and means to improve the cost of operations

Skills Required
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Should have commercial driving license
• Technology proficiency to lead GPS mapping tracking system
