About the Role

Imagine a classroom buzzing with the sound of motors and the glow of LEDs, where every student is engaged in bringing their robotic creations to life. Under your mentorship, students will not only build robots but also build confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. As a Robotics Teacher, you have the chance to ignite the spark of innovation in your students, guiding them to become not just consumers of technology, but creators and innovators shaping the future.

Key Responsibilities:

Instructional Excellence:

Implement a dynamic robotics curriculum that covers fundamental principles of robotics, coding, mechanical design, and systems thinking, tailored to engage students of all skill levels.

Provide detailed feedback to students on the creation of their model, fostering a deep understanding of both successes and failures as learning opportunities.

Project Management:

Facilitate the development of student-led robotics projects, from concept to showcase, encouraging innovation and adherence to design processes.

Mentor students in problem-solving, and project management skills, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet predefined objectives.

Student Engagement & Technical Skills Development:

Track and evaluate student progress and offer targeted support to enhance learning outcomes.

Encourage students to explore the vast possibilities within robotics, including AI, drone technology, and automation, stimulating curiosity and lifelong learning.

Community & Relationship Building:

Act as a catalyst for building a vibrant robotics community within the centre, fostering an environment where students feel empowered to experiment and share ideas.

Engage with parents, educators, and the broader tech community, showcasing student projects and the educational value of robotics, strengthening ties and fostering collaboration.

Professional Development & Innovation:

Stay at the forefront of robotics education and technology trends, incorporating cutting-edge tools and concepts into the curriculum.

Collaborate with the Oh team and industry professionals to continuously refine and expand the robotics program, ensuring it remains relevant and challenging.

The Ideal Candidate

Experience: A minimum of two years teaching robotics, coding, or a related field, with a strong foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of robotics.

Expertise: Proficient in mechanics, electronics and coding

Communication: Outstanding communication skills, capable of demystifying complex concepts for students and engaging effectively with the community.

Creativity and Problem-Solving: An innovative thinker with a knack for problem-solving, able to inspire students to think creatively and tackle challenges head-on.
