Unacademy is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as Director of Sales. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of progressive experience in sales leadership roles, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and building high-performing sales teams. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Director of Sales will play a critical role in driving sales strategy, expanding our market presence, and achieving ambitious revenue targets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed revenue targets and drive business growth.
- Lead and mentor a team of sales managers and representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and support to help them achieve their goals.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams, to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Drive sales initiatives, promotional campaigns, and product launches to maximize sales opportunities and market penetration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to deliver integrated solutions and drive customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement sales processes, policies, and procedures to streamline operations and optimize efficiency.
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, including pipeline activity, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts, to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Experience in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BSFI) sector is highly desirable.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in sales leadership roles, preferably in the education or technology industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to deliver results.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making and problem-solving.
