Scratch Trainer (Job Vacancy)

"We are seeking experienced and dedicated freelancers to provide training and support to teachers and government stakeholders in effectively integrating AI and Scratch-Python into their curriculum and other educational programs, by conducting and facilitating workshops and training in different parts of the country.

Your primary role will involve leading engaging workshops and professional development sessions, where you will provide teachers with the essential tools and resources to create meaningful and innovative learning experiences using the Meraki curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive training programs and workshops to teachers, focusing on Scratch programming concepts, pedagogy, and effective instructional strategies.
• Provide hands-on guidance and support to teachers in navigating the Meraki platform, exploring its features, and creating interactive projects.
• Foster a collaborative and interactive learning environment, encouraging teachers to share ideas, experiences, and best practices related to AI.
• Customize training sessions to meet the specific needs and skill levels of teachers, catering to various grade levels and subject areas.
• Assist the Meraki team by giving inputs on designing the curriculum for training and workshops based on the suggestions and feedback received from stakeholders during and after the training sessions.
• Offer continuous support to teachers beyond training sessions, providing feedback, and addressing challenges related to program implementation.

Requirements

• Fluency in Hindi and English
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field or related experience which can compensate for the absence in the degree or formal education
• Extensive experience teaching programming, focusing on Scratch.
• Proven experience in delivering training sessions or workshops to teachers, preferably in an educational or professional development setting.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum design principles and practices, including the ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans and activities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
