Job Purpose

The primary purpose of the Scrum Master role is to facilitate the Agile development process within the organization, ensuring effective collaboration, communication, and delivery of high-quality products or services. The Scrum Master serves as a servant-leader to the Agile team, coaching them on Agile principles, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. By guiding the team through the Scrum framework, the Scrum Master empowers them to deliver value iteratively and adapt to changing requirements, ultimately contributing to the organization's success in delivering valuable solutions to customers.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Manage project scope and timeline.
  • Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups.
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks.
  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
  • Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders)
  • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur.
  • Help teams implement changes effectively.
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
  • Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own' the product and enjoy working on it.
  • Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements.
  • Tracking project processes and deliverables.
  • Preparing and Presenting Status Reports to Stakeholders.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Business Administration.
  • Should have CSM Certificate. SAFe Preferred.
  • 3 to 4 years of experience as a scrum master.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions.
  • Leadership and management experience.
  • Excellent people and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Contributions to Industries such as Agile Coaching or Blogs or Vlogs etc.,
