Position Summary:
The Delhi Board of School Education has launched the School of Applied Learning (SoAL) in partnership with Lend A Hand India, serving as the Project Management Unit and Lead Knowledge Partner. The SoAL initiative is designed to integrate skill acquisition with academic study from Grade 9 onwards, making skill development a desirable and integral part of the educational process. The goal is to empower students to reach their fullest potential through applied learning.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the SoAL team to plan and implement skill courses, shaping the future of applied learning in education.
• Design and execute strategic initiatives that enhance the curriculum and foster applied learning across various disciplines.
Key Duties:
• Drive program initiatives within government offices, ensuring effective collaboration and progress.
• Develop and maintain a roadmap for SoAL implementation, including key milestones and outcomes.
• Engage industry experts and partners in curriculum design, guest lectures, and site visits.
• Develop and oversee internship and apprenticeship opportunities tailored to student interests and industry needs.
• Establish and enforce project management protocols to align all activities with strategic goals.
• Cultivate relationships with government bodies, educational institutions, and industry leaders to support program objectives.
• Coordinate the recruitment and training of skilled educators and resource persons.
• Oversee the academic lifecycle of the school, from curriculum planning to post-graduation pathways.
• Conduct regular site visits and data analysis to refine project implementation and outcomes.
• Research is needed to improve and expand the program's impact continuously.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Proven background in education, youth development, or a related field.
• Experience in designing educational content such as lesson plans and curricula.
• Being familiar with industries such as finance, automation, coding, multimedia, fashion, food, and health is advantageous.
• At least 4-5 years of relevant professional experience, excluding fellowships.
• Experience working with government entities at various levels.
• Solid understanding of educational policies and curriculum frameworks.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach to project management and problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships effectively.
• Optimistic outlook with a resilient nature in facing challenges.
• Ability to conceptualize, design, and execute projects with minimal guidance.
Desirable Attributes:
• Experience in a startup environment.
• Prior government sector involvement.
• Knowledge of the education development sector.
• Hands-on experience in field-based educational programs.
