Senior PHP Developer (Job Vacancy)

Job Description:  We are seeking a talented and experienced Laravel developer to join our team and take ownership of the full development lifecycle of our web applications. You will be responsible for building and maintaining both the backend and frontend using the Laravel framework, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly experience. Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver products that align with the company's vision and goals. To succeed in this role, you should be a detail-oriented problem solver with a strong understanding of software development methodologies and industry best practices.  Requirements: • Minimum experience of 3 years in the Software Development field is mandatory. • Minimum experience of 2 years in any PHP MVC framework. • Strong understanding of Javascript. Backend: • Design and develop robust and scalable backend applications using any PHP framework (preferably Laravel 9+). • Strong knowledge of PHP programming. • Good understanding of DSA algorithms & SOLID principles helping you to build efficient and scalable codes • Implement RESTful APIs, GraphQL for data access and interaction • Strong understanding of MySQL allowing you to write complex queries • Design and implement efficient database models • Optimise code for performance and efficiency • Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions • Stay up-to-date with the latest Laravel features and best practices Frontend: • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS or any other frontend framework • Strong knowledge of JavaScript & jQuery, enabling the implementation of interactive and dynamic features on the frontend • Utilise modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React.js) for complex interactions • Integrate frontend components with backend APIs • Implement responsive design for optimal mobile experience • Focus on accessibility and usability best practices General: • Collaborate effectively with designers and other developers • Write clear and concise documentation • Participate in Agile development processes • Adapt to changing requirements and priorities • Contribute to a positive and productive team environment Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science IT or Computer Engineering. • Proven experience in Software development with any PHP MVC framework (2+ years, do not apply if your experience is less than 2 years) • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles • Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) • Sound at writing complex SQL queries without relying on modern ORMs. • Familiarity with Git and Agile methodologies preferred. • Integration of third-party APIs including payment gateways into the company’s web application. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team • Ability to write clean and efficient code • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Passion for building high-quality software Bonus Points: • Experience with API design and implementation • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, React.js) • Knowledge of DevOps practices • Experience with unit testing frameworks is a plus (e.g., PHPUnit) Benefits: • Competitive salary and benefits package • Opportunity to work on challenging and rewarding projects • Collaborative and supportive work environment • Continuous learning and development opportunities Working Days: Monday to Saturday (Sunday- Fixed Off) About the company: Boston Institute of Analytics is an international organization that imparts training in predictive analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence to students and working professionals via classroom training conducted by industry experts.
