As a Social Media and Content Manager at NIMS University, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive engagement, and foster community growth. The ideal candidate will be an all-rounder in social media handling and content creation, with a keen eye for detail, creativity, and exceptional communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative social media strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
- Create and curate high-quality, engaging content for various social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Youtube.
- Manage day-to-day social media activities, including content scheduling, posting, and community management.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics to track and optimize campaign effectiveness and ROI.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure our brand remains relevant and competitive.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, and sales to align social media efforts with overall business objectives.
- Provide regular reports and insights on social media performance, audience demographics, and trends to key stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- Proven experience in social media management and content creation, preferably in ed-tech or university sector.
- Proficiency in social media management tools like hootsuite, social sprout social, buffer etc.
- Recognize and celebrate the achievements and contributions of students within the community. Highlighting success stories, showcasing student work, and publicly acknowledging their efforts
- Organize regular events, workshops, seminars, and social gatherings that cater to the interests and preferences of students. These events can range from academic discussions and skill-building workshops to recreational activities and cultural celebrations.
- Foster an inclusive environment where students from all backgrounds feel welcome and valued. Encourage diversity of thought, perspectives, and experiences within the community to enrich discussions and interactions
- Understand the diverse interests and goals of students within the university community. Whether it's academic pursuits, extracurricular activities, or social causes, identifying common ground
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English is a must.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
- Ability to think creatively, generate new ideas, and adapt to changing trends.
- Camera confidence and experience with live streaming or video content creation is highly desirable.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for social media and digital marketing.
