Special Educator for Pre-School (Job Vacancy)

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Educator to join our team as a Pre-School Special Educator. As a Special Educator, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to children with special needs in a pre-school setting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, focusing on their unique strengths and challenges.
• Provide direct instruction to students, utilizing evidence-based teaching strategies and accommodations to meet their individual learning goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Assess students' progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly to ensure their academic and social-emotional growth.
• Utilize assistive technology and adaptive materials to enhance students' access to the curriculum.
• Support students in developing their social skills, communication abilities, and independence.
• Work closely with parents and guardians to provide regular updates on students' progress and involve them in the educational process.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in special education.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to special education.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
• Prior experience working with pre-school-aged children with special needs.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
