Stem Faculty (Job Vacancy)

Science teaching, STEM, robotics, programming, electronics, embedded systems, maths, physics and computers.

Teaching Duties & Responsibilities:

• This position is responsible for teaching and guiding students in Robotics, Electronics, IoT, Embedded Systems and programming at various schools of the Podar Education Network.
• Deliver comprehensive lessons with maximum numbers of hands-on activities that cover various STEM subjects, ensuring alignment with curriculum & content standards and learning objectives provided by Podar Innovation Centre.
• Demonstrate and explain practical concepts and procedures to students, ensuring comprehension and safety.
• Provide guidance and support to students as they do hands-on activities in the Innovation lab.
• Differentiated instruction is necessary to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities in the classroom while also promoting maximum student participation and attention.
• Utilize Innovation lab/s equipment and materials effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and safety protocols are followed.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their performance and progress.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
• If you are a shared STEM faculty, this involves visits to different schools at multiple locations to teach and conduct innovation lab sessions.
• This also involves guiding the students to work on innovative projects for various national and international competitions.
• Enforce the discipline and maintain appropriate standards for student behavior in the STEM lab.
• Be responsible for the emotional and physical well-being of every child.

Curriculum Enhancement and Development:

• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance and develop STEM-based curriculum materials and resources if required.
• Incorporate real-world applications and case studies into Innovation lab activities to enhance students & practical understanding of the subject.
• Stay informed about new trends & advancements in the field and incorporate relevant content into laboratory activities to enhance student learning.

Professional Development and Collaboration:

• Participate in professional development activities to enhance your teaching skills and stay updated on best practices.
• As an expert trainer or assistant trainer, you will organize and conduct training sessions for both internal and external staff of Podar Education Network whenever required based on your experience and expertise.
• Collaborate with colleagues of Podar Education Network to share teaching strategies, resources, and instructional materials.
• Engage in continuous self-reflection and professional growth to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.

Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure lab safety protocols are followed at all times, including properly handling educational kits and equipment.
• Maintain a safe and organized Innovation lab environment, identifying and addressing potential safety hazards.
• Train students on lab safety practices and procedures to promote a safety culture in the Innovation lab.

School and Community Engagement:

• Participate in school events like science/tech fairs, competitions, open houses, etc., to showcase student work and engage with the community.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Serve as a resource for students interested in pursuing further studies or careers, providing guidance and support as needed.

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and fix minor software and hardware issues or seek professional help by timely reporting it to the concerned person/vendor while keeping all the stakeholders informed.
• Maintain accurate records of Innovation lab inventories, activities, student attendance, and assessment results.
• Adhere to school policies and procedures, including those related to laboratory safety, classroom management, and professional conduct.
• Perform other duties assigned by school administration to support the school & educational mission and goals.
• Maintain effective communication with the principal/s of the school/s and report to them about daily activities.
• The end of the day, ensure that data is furnished in the Daily Activity Reports provided by the PIC (Podar Innovation Centre).
