Job description Student Counselor (study abroad) We are seeking a skilled and experienced admissions counselor to join our team in Delhi. The candidate will have previous experience of working in the admissions or student recruitment functions within the study abroad industry in India, or for the universities in the UK, and is a pre requisite for this role. Operating within the international education sector, your role will involve processing student applications, identifying and implementing continuous improvements, and engaging with students and parents during the admissions process. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, the ability to work autonomously, a dedication to customer service, and an advanced command of the English language. 2 - 4 years of work experience required. Position: Student Counselor Start: Immediate Remuneration: INR 400,000 annually. Plus bonus This is a full time role based in our Delhi office. The Role Work closely with our university partners and colleagues to achieve student recruitment targets in India. This is primarily a B2C role and we expect you to have the necessary skill set and experience in engaging with students who wish to study in the UK. The role also includes the following duties - • To be fully aware and on top of UKVI developments for students wishing to study in the UK • To attend recruitment events and advise / counsel student enquirers • Initiate calls to leads generated from marketing efforts and convert leads into successful enrollments • Provide guidance to students regarding opportunities for overseas education, including country, course, university, and career choices. • Advise students on application processes, visa applications, accommodation arrangements, and preparations for overseas studies. • Ensure timely completion of admission, visa, accommodation, and travel formalities. • Deliver accurate information about UK study programs, courses, colleges, and universities. • Stay up-to-date on study in the UK programs offered by colleges/universities and apply this knowledge to assist students. • Maintain an organized database of counselled students and sent applications for overseas education. • Participate in activities promoting universities represented by the company. • Timely reporting to the manager Person Specification (essential): • Fluent in English (spoken and written) • Good understanding of admissions, sales and marketing processes in the international education sector • Good understanding of the UK education system • Good understanding of the UKVI visa regime • Good relationship management and customer service skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as demonstrated ability to proactively and effectively work in a team environment Person Specification (desirable): • Champions the benefits and opportunities associated with international education, and particularly studies in the UK • It is particularly advantageous if you have studied and / or lived abroad Please note - This role does not provide relocation benefits.
