Job Purpose :
To carry out the professional duties of a teacher, teaching all areas of the primary curriculum, as circumstances may require and in accordance with the schools policies under the direction of the Management.
Responsibilities :
- To take responsibility for teaching a class or small groups, adhering to the teacher standards, ensuring each pupil makes the best possible progress in their learning;
- To take key responsibility for the well-being and safety of the students in the class, and for ensuring good standards of behavior;
- To work closely with teachers and leaders across the school to co-ordinate and promote children’s co-curricular activities and to organize and deliver events in a timely and organized way.
- To adhere to all the school’s policies and practices;
- To maintain a tidy, well-managed and attractive learning environment, in which learning resources are clearly displayed and available to all;
- To take responsibility for your own professional development, seeking opportunities to reflect upon and improve your practice in line with the school’s and your own priorities;
- To contribute to the school’s wider effectiveness including running at least one extra-curricular club per year;
- Be prepared, when appropriate, to take a leadership role within the school. This may include being part of a core curriculum team.
