Job Description

Job Title: Executive - Talent Acquisition Job Location: Yelahanka, Bangalore Reporting To: CFO with a dotted line to CEO Who We Are We are a global education network serving more than 6,000 students from under-resourced communities in India, Jamaica, Mexico, South Africa, and the US (Indianapolis). Students begin their school journey as early as pre-kindergarten (in some locations) and continue through high school. Once they graduate, our alumni are actively supported in our College & Careers program for five years to best empower them to achieve their individual goals and aspirations. Key Responsibilities • Talent Recruitment and Selection: • Collaborate with department heads and stakeholders to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies. • In collaboration with the department heads, create job descriptions and advertisements for all positions, and post them on relevant platforms. • Conduct candidate sourcing through various channels, including online job portals, social media, recruitment firms and networking. • Screen resumes, shortlist candidates, and conduct initial round of telephonic interviews. • Coordinate and schedule interviews with relevant stakeholders, ensuring a smooth selection process. • Perform reference checks and verify employment history of potential candidates. • Assist in negotiating employment offers and preparing employment contracts in collaboration with the CFO & CEO. • Coordinate the hiring process for new hires, ensuring all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed. • Human Resources Management: • Collaborate with the leadership team in developing, implementing, and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and initiatives aligned with the organization's mission and values. • Administer employee benefits programs and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, employment contracts, and leave records. • Coordinate and improve performance management processes, including goal setting, performance appraisals, and employee development plans. • Handle employee relations matters, such as conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures. • Collaborate with the centre leadership on evaluating compensation and incentive programs to make sure they are competitive and based on equity. • Collaborate and implement the necessary strategies for retaining the talent of the organization. • Stay updated on labour laws and regulations to ensure HR practices and policies are complying. • Onboarding: • Conduct orientation sessions for onboarding and familiarizing new employees with the organization's vision, mission, culture and policies. • Training: • Coordinate with respective department heads and organize training programs for teachers and staff, addressing professional development needs. • Talent Processes for Expansion: • Collaborate with the CEO to develop the leadership pipeline and long-term HR plan required to meet the expansion needs in India. • Identify external talent with required skills and qualifications to compliment the leadership pipeline required for expansion. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). • Minimum of [4-5] years of experience in HR roles, working with a school. • Solid knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws. • Proven experience in recruitment, selection, onboarding, training and development. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information. • Proficient in using HR software and MS Office Suite.
