Job Overview
The Content Editor Manager (SEO) will be responsible for leading a team of content editors and ensuring that all content produced aligns with SEO best practices. This role involves managing the end-to-end content creation process, optimizing content for search engines, and implementing strategies to improve organic search rankings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a content strategy aligned with business goals & SEO objectives.
- Provide strategic direction for the editorial department.
- Assessing & creating high-quality, engaging, and SEO-friendly content.
- Collaborate with writers to optimize existing content. Edit & proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to SEO guidelines.
- Work closely with the SEO team to incorporate targeted keywords and phrases into content.
- Lead and inspire a team of content editors, providing guidance & support.
- Monitor & Analyze the performance of content using analytics tools.
- Enforce content quality standards and ensure consistency in style, tone, and voice.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and address issues in existing content.
- Identify and explore partnerships with industry experts and media organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in content editing with a focus on SEO.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- 4+ years of SEO Industry Experience
