Job Description

We're looking for a Trading Operations Analyst to join our operations team. We are targeting highly motivated professionals seeking an opportunity to develop and grow their career with a fast-growing, innovative, multi-asset algorithm firm. Individuals must be extremely thorough, detail-oriented, organized, able to learn quickly and handle volume under pressure.

This role would take on the client service and administration support functions, which include, trade processing, resolution of customers' discrepancies, and ad hoc inquiries and investigations supporting the settlements process to support our customers settlement processes.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for the completion of daily trade processing tasks, working in a fast-paced environment investigating, and resolving issues to ensure account opening, trade allocation, confirmation processing and settlement occurs in line with the current settlement timelines (T+2)
  • Respond to client and broker inquiries (email, phone) as a single point of contact to ensure timely settlement processing, including investigating & resolving of trade-related breaks in accordance with our established time frames and procedures
  • Review/Confirm client settlement account instructions are current and accurate via DTCC ALERT.
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships at the operational middle / back-office level with our clearing counterparties to further our ability to provide Straight Through Processing (STP).
  • Pro-actively contribute to projects and initiatives, develop, and explore methods to further streamline our internal processes to achieve greater automation within our support processes where available
  • Other duties as assigned by management to meet the needs of the current business environment.

Required qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics, computer science, or related field
  • 2+ years of Operations experience would be ideal, but other backgrounds withing the Financial Services Industry could be suitable.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills; comfortable interfacing and supporting internal teams as well as front-office and middle office external counterparties located in various locations
  • Must be organized, critical thinking, detail oriented, self-motivated and deadline oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite: Excel
  • Comfortable with working during AMER and EMEA time zones
