Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As a Verbal Trainer for GMAT, GRE, and SAT, your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality verbal instruction and guidance to students preparing for these standardised tests. You will play a crucial role in helping students improve their verbal reasoning, reading comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary skills to achieve their desired scores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct verbal training sessions for GMAT, GRE, and SAT students, focusing on key verbal concepts, strategies, and techniques. Teach students how to analyse and approach different question types, and provide effective solutions and explanations.
  • Create and update comprehensive verbal training materials, lesson plans, and practice exercises aligned with the respective test formats. Design engaging and interactive activities to enhance students' understanding and retention of verbal concepts.
  • Provide personalised feedback and coaching to students, addressing their specific strengths, weaknesses, and learning needs. Offer guidance on time management, test-taking strategies, and effective study techniques to optimise performance.
  • Assess students' progress through regular evaluations, mock tests, and practice drills. Analyse test results to identify areas for improvement and customise instruction accordingly. Maintain accurate records of students' performance and provide constructive feedback to motivate and guide them.
  • Stay abreast of changes and updates in GMAT, GRE, and SAT verbal sections, including question types, scoring criteria, and test formats. Continuously research and incorporate best practices in verbal instruction and test preparation techniques.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (English, Linguistics, Education, etc.). A master's degree is preferred.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of verbal reasoning, reading comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary concepts relevant to GMAT, GRE, and SAT.
  • Familiarity with the structure and content of the GMAT, GRE, and SAT verbal sections.
  • Prior experience in teaching or tutoring students for standardised tests is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and provide individualised guidance.
  • Ability to adapt teaching techniques to accommodate students with diverse learning styles and backgrounds.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills to manage multiple students and tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using technology and online learning platforms for instruction and assessment.
