The UCD South Asia Global Centre in India has a pivotal role to play in assisting with the implementation of UCD Global’s international strategies and is an integral part of the International Office.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
1) Recruitment Activity
i. High School Engagement:
- Assisting with the development of a database of local and national high school contacts
- Assisting with developing a schedule of high school visits including UCD staff over the recruitment year
- Acting as a point of contact for all high school counsellor queries
- Circulating relevant information to high schools
- Assisting with building a database of high school qualifications
ii. University Engagement:
- Representing UCD at university fairs
- Assisting with coordinating visits of UCD staff to universities
- Aiding market intelligence on university qualifications and standards
iii. Agents:
- First point of contact for agent inquiries
- Assisting with agent training
- Assisting with organising FAM visits to UCD
- Participation in agent fairs
- Assisting with agent feedback, and focus groups to help improve UCD performance
iv. Admission:
- Process and analyse the applications of prospective students based on the standard admission policies of the University.
- Update student records in the systems used within University College Dublin.
- Monitor acceptance and deposit rates for assigned programs; create yield plans to ensure enrolment.
v. Education Fairs:
- Attendance and coordination of education fairs
- Materials and stands preparation
- Recording leads and follow up communications
- Reporting of fairs (attendance, quality, programme interest, competitor institutions attendance)
vi. Embassy/Industry Activity:
- Assisting with support for visa office in country
- Assisting with support for EI/IUA activity in country
vii. UCD Recruitment Missions:
- Assisting and supporting Country Manager in coordination of visits about logistics for visits, (flights, hotels, dates, attendees)
- Circulation of information packs to all delegates traveling
- Assisting coordination of itinerary for mission
2) Relationship Development:
Maintain a delivery of highly flexible, responsive, and effective customer service through Email, Phone, Skype communications with students/parents/alumni/agents/partner institutions/universities/colleges/government departments and offices.
3) Marketing Communications
- Distributing marketing materials and maintain in-country supply
- Social Media promotion – use all social media streams to promote recruitment activity and to provide pre departure connections between students
- Regular zoom, Google Hangout sessions with students and agents
- Feed images back from in-country events to Regional Team
- Supporting UCD promotional campaigns
- Video interviews with alumni
4) Reporting
- Assisting with data capture of recruitment activities (e.g. FAM trips, school visits)
- Contributing to the maintenance of accurate databases on student alumni and records of partnerships
5) Administrative support
- Assisting with the management of email and phone inquiries
- Provision of high-level customer service to all UCD partners/prospective students
6) Alumni Engagement
- Maintain and update the South Asian alumni and volunteer database.
- Promote UCD alumni networks and services via online social networking sites such as LinkedIn and Facebook, and to develop new ways of leveraging these methods of engagement.
- Collate, record and monitor alumni attendance in the events.
- Provide relevant information to the Country Manager in relation to alumni contributions in terms of time and expertise.
Desired profile of the candidate;
- Familiarity with marketing, student recruitment, university admission requirement for foreign institutes.
- Proven ability in relationship management and track record of delivery in a competitive environment
- Excellent presentation skills and high level of awareness of customer service
- Flexibility regarding working hours and a willingness to travel extensively
- Good standard of numeracy, effective IT skills and attention to detail
- Previous or current experience in educational agent’s office or with an international university.
- Familiarity with Ireland and willingness to gain knowledge of UCD programmes, processes and curriculum
Qualifications: Educated to Master’s Degree level or demonstrate appropriate combination of Bachelor’s Degree and relevant experience.
